Getting Here by Public Transit

The Westin Seattle is easily accessible by transit.  From the Seattle - Tacoma International Airport (SEA-TAC), ride the Link Light Rail north to Seattle.  Depart at West Lake Station and walk one block up 5th Avenue.  The Link Light Rail conveniently runs every 8 - 15 minutes, depending on the time and day, every day from 5:00am - midnight.  A one-way trip from the airport takes about 40 minutes.

The Westin Seattle is also located at the terminus of the South Lake Union Streetcar.  Hop on the streetcar and head north to explore restaurants, visit the Musuem of History and Industry (MOHAI) and catch spectacular views of Lake Union.

Seattle Information

Prepare yourself for unique experiences at this year’s Rail~Volution conference in Seattle! Besides being known for flying fish and exquisite natural scenery, the Puget Sound Region is an epicenter of trade and innovation, with companies like Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon, Expedia, Starbucks and an array of biotech firms.

As the region prepares for 1.2 million more residents by 2030, a strategic growth management plan guides smart investments in transportation infrastructure. In addition to popular bus and commuter rail services, the region is on track to benefit from a light rail system that will stretch more than 50 miles within the next decade thanks to an $18 billion transit initiative adopted by voters on the eve of the national recession. Construction is also underway on a $3.1 billion project to replace Seattle’s shoreline viaduct with a tunnel, and a $4.1 billion project to replace one of the region’s trademark floating bridge.

Come to Seattle and see first-hand how the Puget Sound region has transformed from its manufacturing roots to an economy of innovation. Discover the region’s plans to accommodate growth while balancing economic goals with sustainability, quality of life, neighborhood and community values.
